"Too many irons in the fire"
Councilman Glenn Freshour was reported to say he has, "too many irons in the fire" and he now wants another 4 years on the Council. When Freshour rode onto the City Council his pitch was as slick as a patent medicine drummer. He had the cure for everything from Consumption to Boils. What we ended up with was the “Hole in the Wall Gang” and a range war.
His first act as Mayor was to turn off the cameras at his first city council meeting. His second act was to silence his opposition on the Council itself. He has rode roughshod over all who disagree with him. As if city departments were his personal posse, he sends them out to attack his detractors.
This cowboy wants 4 more years to put his brand on what is left standing after 4 years of his divisiveness. The hombre has rustled about as much of this city’s future as we can stand.
It’s time to watch Freshour ride off into the sunset.
